SUMMER SOIRÉE IN THE HAMPTONS

SUMMER SOIRÉE IN THE HAMPTONS

Benefiting Salt + Light

Salt + Light (S+L) hosted their annual Summer Soirée in the Hampton event at the Visalia Convention Center on Friday, August 25th. The affair was thoughtfully curated to be as communal as possible with multiple tasting, food, and dessert stations in addition to long community tables. Many city and county officials, attendees from the Governors’ office, and Olympic athlete Richard Torrez Jr. were among the 690 guests. S+L CEO & Founder Adrianne Hillman delivered a powerful keynote address about our neighbors experiencing homelessness and joined the Brandon Pasion Band for one song. Visalia Chief of Police Jason Salazar played guitar and sang a song with the band. Two Light of the Valley awards recognized a couple of local people for their work with folks experiencing homelessness. One Salt of the Earth award honored Brody Willette, a S+L team member who recently saved a neighbor’s life by giving them mouth-to-mouth when they were overdosing. For more information about Salt + Light, please visit www.saltandlightworks.org.
