CRŪ WINERY CHOWDER COOK-OFF

CRŪ Winery hosted their very first CRŪ Winery. Chowder Cook-Off at their Santa Lucia Highlands Tasting Room on Saturday, September 21st. Some 90 guests came out to see the two finalists in the CRŪ Winery Chowder Contest make their chowder recipes and compete for the best chowder title. The two finalists were Lauren Barisic with her Blushing Gnocchi Clam Chowder and Marilynne Manfredi with her Chicken Sausage Chowder. Entries were judged by a panel of judges, including Helena Welsh (Executive Director of Monterey Vintners and Growers), Laura Ness (writer at Edible Monterey Bay), and Margot Kandarian (owner of Flying Colors Co.).
