Benefiting the Marjaree Mason Center
Marjaree’s Birthday Soiree was held at Table Mountain Casino Resort on Friday, March 14th. This March, Marjaree Mason would have turned 83 years old, had her life not been tragically taken at the hands of her ex-boyfriend in 1978. The event was sold-out; 600 attendees gathered to celebrate her life and legacy, which has impacted thousands of domestic violence survivors and their children over the last 45 years. The occasion featured live and silent auctions, a live painting demonstration, dancing, casino games, and more. A record-breaking amount, more than $475,000, was raised for the Marjaree Mason Center. The generous funds raised through this single evening will support the Marjaree Mason Center’s crisis response operations and emergency shelter that continue to operate for those impacted by domestic violence 24/7, 365 days a year.
