Red Mountain Refuge
Spectacular views of Ajax and Mount Sopris are captured throughout this contemporary masterpiece on Red Mountain. Developer, Aspen Starwood, gave Kristin Dittmar great freedom in designing this new home. Huge windows create a seamless transition between the outside and the interior. Kristin incorporated layers of texture using several types of wood, including bamwood, European oak and white oak in varied patterns to create a unique vibe in each room. Her neutral palette was further grounded by her choices of stone, metal fixtures and finishes.
The living room features two curved sofas by Flexform, upholstered in a de Le Cuono wool, Muriel Chandelier by Oly Studio, Holly Hunt coffee table, Arterior stools and Loloi rug.
For the Family Room, Kristin wanted a cozy nook: a place to relax, read or watch a movie. The console is by Noir, coffee table by Arteriors and custom sectional by RAGS.
The Second Master Bedroom features a Noir slipper chair, Arteriors side tables, Kelly Wearstler chandelier and Aerin sconces mounted on a custom RAGS headboard. The footboard cleverly houses a pop-up television.
Upper right Master Bedroom features a wall of barn wood with built-ins to display books and photographs. The bed is by Restoration Hardware and lamps by Kelly Wearstler.
Below is Kristin’s favorite bed, custom made by RAGS, bedside tables by Restoration Hardware and both bench and lamps by Arteriors.
