FALL INTO FABULOUS: FALL 2016'S FAVORITE FASHIONS
Luxe Texture. Nothing says autumn like rich, luxurious textures and this fall is no exception. Velvet and faux fur should be some of the most popular items in your wardrobe as it gets colder. Don’t stick to the classics either; the runways were teeming with statement faux fluffies in various colors and patterns.
Chokers. Whether it’s a statement choker, a simple black velvet ribbon, or a silk scarf casually wrapped around your throat, high-neck adornments are peppering every collection this fall. Try it peeking out from beneath a button down shirt or let it be the center of attention paired with a chic off-the-shoulder top.
Capelets & Embellished Gloves. These retro staples are a great way to add just a touch of pizzazz to a classic outfit. The perfect way to keep warm in the fall, capelets have made a major comeback. From bejeweled stunners to more structured additions to pantsuits, capelets can go with any outfit this all. Embellished gloves are another flashback we love — the blingier the better!
Neutrals. As usual, this autumn is the perfect time to showcase your neutrals. Dark navy is keeping its top spot, especially in overcoats and layers — it’s impossible not to look chic! However, the pros are gravitating to an unusual but striking combo: tan and grey. Opt for lighter grey patterns like a pale dove pinstripe or plaid and pair it with a neutral tan in a decadent, soft fabric.
Metallic Gold. Gold metallic accents (think: stitched embroidery, gold lamé, metallic lace) are hugely popular on dresses this season. Can’t find anything you like? Hand-stitch some glittering gold appliqués to the lapel of a blazer!
