TERRACOTTA DRAMA
This season, we are taking our style cue from the rich, warm hue of terracotta. Terracotta clay is one of the world’s oldest building materials, dating back to 7,000 BCE with the Greeks and 10,000 BCE with traditional Chinese pottery. Its literal meaning is “baked earth.” Even today, terracotta is still widely used. You can see this natural material in the form of pots and decorative tiles, among other things. The brownish red nature of this substance ranges in color from deep red to rust orange and even pink. There is no shortage of ways to implement this earthy, trendy shade in your world—from paint and wallpaper to interior accessories and permanent features, find your own way to introduce this timeless color into your home décor.
