Girl Scouts of Central California South is looking for women and men willing to rope up for the rappelling adventure of a lifetime. You don't have to be an adventure seeker or an adrenaline junkie, just the courage to descend down the highest skyscraper in Fresno. Their council is taking fundraising to new heights and looking for 100 Edgers to rappel down the Pacific Southwest Building (formerly the Security Bank Building) in Downtown Fresno, on Saturday, September 19, 2015. The ticket to participate in our Over the Edge adventure is raising $1,000 for Girl Scout programs and services. You don't need to be an experienced rappeller just at least 14 years old between 110 and 300 pounds. Over the Edge for Girls is a chance to rappel down or send someone you know rappelling down the Pacific Southwest Building in Downtown Fresno – to raise money for Girl Scouts Central California South, a wonderful organization empowering and supporting so many girls throughout the Central Valley.
No prior experience is required – just the desire to go “Over the Edge for Girls” and a fundraising minimum $1,000. The Pacific Southwest Building is a 15-story, 67m high-rise completed in 1925 in downtown Fresno, California.
