LUX San Diego Spotlight: Beer & Sake Fest
WHAT: Since 2003, the Beer & Sake Festival has introduced a host of masterful libations from Japan ranging from refreshing beers to delicate sake alongside local creations from around San Diego all the way to Tijuana. Over 22 beer and sake breweries showcase their productions at the festival, accompanied by several local restaurants offering carefully chosen entrees that complement the featured drinks.
Attendees can also expect to enjoy an array of art booths, a silent auction, a raffle and a highly competitive appetizer contest. Each year, the festival hosts a great lineup of musical performances as well, featuring contemporary artists such as ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro and folk groups like San Diego Taiko, who performs traditional Japanese drumming pieces.
