Exceptional Parents Unlimited (EPU) hosted the Gala of Light on Saturday, October 1st, which raised over $80,000. Held at The Painted Table with 270 people in attendance, EPU Founder Marion Karian was honored with the Beacon of Hope Award. Courtney Shapiro accepted the Hope Grows Here Award for CalViva Health. Current Executive Director Lowell Ens stacked Legos to show the number of children that EPU reaches in a year would measure 176 feet in length if each child was an individual Lego block.
