30TH ANNUAL FIESTA DE LOS NIÑOS
Benefiting Exceptional Parents Unlimited
The 30th Annual Fiesta de los Niños by Exceptional Parents Unlimited (EPU) returned for the first time since the pandemic on Saturday, May 20th. Assemblymember Jim Patterson presented EPU with a resolution to commemorate their anniversary. CalViva Health was the presenting sponsor. Approximately 450 people attended the evening held at The Grand on the Bluffs. A beautiful family, whose son, Collen, received services from EPU since he was about 9 months old due to cri du chat syndrome, was featured and his mom, Desiree, gave a beautiful speech about the importance of supporting EPU. A very competitive silent and live auction included goldendoodle puppies, a NASCAR trip to Las Vegas, a 2 karat diamond necklace, and various other treasures and experiences. Don is a portrait and still-life photographer based on Fresno, California. He was a nursing major from Fresno City College, and while waiting to get in the nursing program, he continued to take photography classes. There he fell completely in love with photography. Capturing the right moment only takes one shot. But it is much more than that! You need to have the right lighting, angle, and expression to get the perfect photograph. Over the years, Don has mastered the art of capturing the moment.
