CALIFORNIA TEACHING FELLOWS FOUNDATION ANNUAL GALA

Benefiting the California Teaching Fellows Foundation

The California Teaching Fellows Foundation (CTFF) Annual Gala took place on Friday, September 27th at the Fort Washington Country Club. This year, CTFF celebrated their Silver Jubilee. In celebration of 25 years of service, CTFF awarded Michael Funk, the Director of the Expanded Learning Division at the California Department of Education, with the Silver Service Award for his commitment to serving youth through expanded learning programs and in support of CTFF’s mission. CTFF also acknowledged Pamela Hutton as the 2024 Educational Leader of the Year and highlighted two Teaching Fellow Alumna who are now educators in our community. The 240 attendees at the event helped to raise over $126,000 for the organization, which is on a mission to inspire the next generation of leaders with a passion for teaching and learning while impacting the lives of youth. This is done through providing scholarships to future educators, the Dream Initiative via tutors, and continued development of the next generation of leaders and educators in our community.
