FUND BY INDIAN SUBCONTINENT HERITAGE GALA
Benefiting CASA of Fresno and Madera Counties
The Fund by Indian Subcontinent Heritage (FISH) Gala was held on Saturday, September 28th at Holland Park West. There, some 400 guests came out to support the event’s beneficiary, CASA of Fresno and Madera Counties. FISH is a philanthropic initiative established in 2017 by seven individuals of South Asian heritage, dedicated to making a positive impact in California’s Central Valley. Currently housed under the Central Valley Community Foundation, FISH partners with local non-profit organizations to raise awareness of social issues and promote philanthropy within the South Asian community. In recent years, the board has expanded to include exceptional community leaders who, despite demanding careers and family commitments, volunteer time on weekends and evenings to this cause. In its inaugural year, FISH raised $10,000, and each subsequent year has surpassed the previous total, culminating in over $100,000 raised last year with a repeat performance this year. The event included tarot card readings and a magician, Bollywood live entertainment, and a live auction that included international trips and an adorable mini mountain doodle. The highest individual donation made was $10,000. For more information about FISH Philanthropy, please visit www.fishfund.org.
