It’s Heart Month, and the first Friday of February is National Wear Red Day. Support Go Red For Women and raise awareness about heart disease and stroke in women by donning the American Heart Association’s signature color this day. This year’s theme is “Be the Beat” to draw attention to community CPR and the disparity in the rate with which women receive hands-only CPR.

Music Director Bruce Kiesling brings Tchaikovsky’s Last Note to life at the Visalia Fox Theatre. Valerie Coleman’s Umoja: Anthem of Unity will be presented as part of the program. Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, with Fabiola Kim playing violin, and Symphony No. 6 “Pathetique” showcase both the virtuosic delights and the deep power of his final symphony.
