Photography by local photographers Christina Brunk and Beckie Ballew Nava are on display for just over three weeks at Arts Visalia Visual Art Center. Brunk showcases her “Highlands” collection and Beckie Ballew Nava her “Light, Color, Near & Far”. An opening reception will take place on January 5th, followed by an Artist Talk on January 6th.

Hailed as Peter Shaffer’s greatest play, Amadeus portrays a brilliant dramatization about the two composers, Antonio Salieri and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Salieri is respected, successful, and royally sanctioned, whereas Mozart is a foul-mouthed, graceless oaf with something beyond Salieri’s envious grasp: genius. This show is rated PG13.

The first Sunday of January marks the last day of the Fresno Art Museum’s summer and fall exhibitions. This will be the final opportunity to see Maurice Sendak: 60 Years of Wild Things, Imaginings: Portraits & False Flag, The Magic and Flair of Mary Blair, and Art of the Word: Growing an Artist. The museum will be closed until February for new exhibit installations.
